This German small interested attracted my little 6 years old daughter. She asked me why this plane had three wings, how fast this was, where she could get on this plane... I could not answer her questions perfectly, but I make a promise with her to make the model of this plane.
To be honest, I decided to make Hanriot HD1 as the next model. The reason of this decision was my interest on Willy Coppens, the ace of Belgian Air Force in WWI. I, however, push away the thought, and started to collect the plans of Fokker Dr1, 'cause the priority of my daughter's order is much higher than mine!
Cool!
Embraer 314 is the newest Brazilian turboprop attacker. The assembling of this plane is not difficult. I recommend to make this aircraft.
Mostly completed.
Assembling a monoplane is much easier than doing a biplane...I think.
The propeller of this plane has 5 blades. This propeller makes the looking of this plane so strong.
The number of landing gears is 3... 1 front gear & 2 back gears.
The window was expressed by a sheet of paper, colored with blue-green paint.
Now, it's the time to takeoff.
It is very sensitive work to assemble the main body, side boards.
The symmetrical position must be set by myself.
After some trying and errors, the symmetric position could finally be set. Looking so cool!
The end edges of horizontal stabilizers are folded upward to express the moment of taking off.
This work was the first attack for me.
In this case, I decorated some military-like colors on fuselage and wings with not stickers but acrylic pens. I refer to Chile Air Force to decide this coloring.
A small white star on a vertical stabilizer is very difficult for me to draw its shape with white pen. Therefore, I made a white star-shape sticker and attached it on the vertical stabilizer.
A little bit big, but it was impossible for me to make it smaller.
After painting, inking carefully on whole of this airplane body.
Now, next step is assembling these parts.
One of the most joyful worries in making airplane models is the decision of its color.
Since, the Embraer 314 is used in a lot of countries, there are a number of color valuations all over the world.
After short thinking, I decided the color of this aircraft, light brown. I made this color with 38% white, 38% yellow & 24% brown, all of which are Tamiya water based acrylic paint series.
Before assembling these parts, cutting out an airplane shape.
